CJ Griffin Discusses the Open Public Records Act with New Jersey Law Journal, “Will New Jersey Lawmakers Revisit Records Act, Public Notice Laws in 2026?”

CJ Griffin, partner and director of the Justice Gary S. Stein Public Interest Center at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C., recently discussed the Open Public Records Act in an extensive conversation with the New Jersey Law Journal. The article, titled, “Will New Jersey Lawmakers Revisit Records Act, Public Notice Laws in 2026?” examines how Governor Phil Murphy’s 2024 changes to OPRA and public notice laws weakened government transparency. Griffin, who now serves as General Counsel for the New Jersey Press Association, discusses her plans to push for legislation restoring OPRA access and improving public notice requirements under incoming Governor Mikie Sherrill.
