CJ Griffin Quoted in New York Post Article regarding Manifesto Release

CJ Griffin, Esq., Partner and Director of the Justice Gary S. Stein Public Interest Center at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C., was quoted by the New York Post in an article titled “Covenant School Kin to Weigh in on Audrey Hale Manifesto Release”. The article discusses the unique step that a Tennessee judge is taking by allowing the families of the Covenant School shooting victims to weigh in on whether the shooter’s manifesto should be made public.

“In my experience, it does not mean the Court will automatically rule against disclosure simply because victims are against it,” wrote Griffin in an email to The Post.

“A decision to allow the families to participate and express objections is not an indication of how the court will rule on the merits of whether the manifesto must be released.”

Griffin referred to two separate cases in New Jersey law when judges had allowed interested parties to become involved, but still ultimately ruled against the parties’ interests.
