CJ Griffin filed an amici curiae brief in the N.J. Supreme Court on behalf of the New Jersey Urban Mayors Association, Latino Leadership Alliance of New Jersey, and Libertarians for Transparent Government in favor of Newark's ordinance creating a Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB). The Supreme Court upheld the authority of the City to create the CCRB, although it limited its powers.
